Super Silver Haze (2025-2026, BFA thesis) is a photographic diary, an archival excavation, and an experiential process of connection between my grandfather, David, and me. Over several months of traveling to his hometown of Aylmer, Ontario, I studied his meticulous archive and photographed alongside him, tracing the landscapes of his home, his neighborhood, and beyond. Through this ritualistic practice, grandfather and I used our cameras and the act of photographing to talk, ask questions, and understand each other in ways we hadn’t before.
The photographic series is divided into two parts: half are images taken by me, and the other half are handmade reprints and contact sheets of my grandfather’s negatives.
